FREE Business Tools Available

Just read an article in the Akron Beacon Journal yesterday that spotlighted a business tool now available for FREE.

If you've had the need to create a PDF – a file that can't be changed – you know that you've had to purchase the Adobe Acrobat Reader/Writer which sells for over $200. Either that, or email the file to someone who has Adobe Writer and ask them to please make you a PDF file.

Now you can go to CutePDF and download their free version. As long as you don't need the file to be a form that can be filled out or need an encryption file – the free version works great. Or you can pay for the professional version at $49.95.

Gotta be honest – I use the Adobe product but only because I didn't know there was an option. And in today's economy, if there is a chance to save a couple hundred dollars – it's a good thing!

The version only allows you to make a PDF but you can create a form with their $29.95 package or have additional professional services for the higher price. Check it out.

The other FREE tool I use is the AVG Anti-Virus protection software. Again, they have an upgraded version that you can pay for, but my computer guy said the free version is a strong enough protection. I've used it for two years – no prob!

Do you have a great business tool you've found for FREE that you'd like to share? Let us know. Leave a comment.
